M.U.S.C.LE. #26.. a clone? Android? Imposter?

 

At first glance, this M.U.S.C.L.E. simply looks like a slight variation of M.U.S.C.L.E. #216 aka 'The Ninja'. However, something is off. Compare his face with the Ninja below..

They are nearly identical, but #26 has a different face. It has much less life in it. He looks like a cheap copy, imposter, clone, or maybe even an android. I'm not well versed enough in the Kinnikuman manga or anime to know if there was a story arc that could explain something like this. 

In the end, #26 may have been an initial prototype of the Ninja, with #216 being a newer retooled version, that the sculptors simply got a bit fancier with. As the toy line grew, they may have simply left both sculpts in the line for variety and or filler. I will do some more investigation, and if I find answers, I will update this post with more info.
