M.U.S.C.L.E. #99 The Volley Ball.. or Soccer Ball M.U.S.C.L.E.

As a kid, all the M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors I knew referred to this guy as 'The Volley Ball M.U.S.C.L.E.'. Later in the 90s during the 'M.U.S.C.L.E. Renaissance', I noticed several collectors calling him 'The Soccer Ball M.U.S.C.L.E.'. This made perfect sense, as soccer was becoming more prevalent in the 90s than it ever was in the 80s. 

A friend of the M.P.S. from Japan 'TETSUROCK' gave us some insight on the figure. Here's what he had to say about it..

"His (or Her?) name in Japanese toy line is "The Mari". Mari (毱) means ball in old Japanese.
Honestly, I didn't like this character when I was a kid. Because He did not appear in the cartoon".
